Our programs and activities are implemented in a cost-efficient way, using local resources and very much building on volunteers. Still, we need a budget to be able to create programs and support our target groups. We do not have any expensive offices abroad, but function on a small team of local experienced people, volunteers, technical specialists and additional international experts. In addition, while our running costs as an office are extremely low, we do have the regular phone and internet bill to pay and need to keep our spaces clean and organized.
We therefore welcome donations from individuals, foundations and organization who align with our value and seek to make an impact in Palestine.

This is a global platform (USA-based) that allows small to medium NGOs from all over the world to fundraise, benefit from capacity building and build a network all on a trusted and recognized platform. On GG Karama has different fundraising pages, that allows us to receive donations for specific activities and our community work. GG will collect all donations and transfer once a month to our Palestinian bank account. GG takes a fee from each donation of 15% for their services.
Karama commits to being a transparent and open organization, that is clear in its fundraising, spending and operations. We intend to publish our year reports through this website, so keep an eye out for those. If you are interested in reading more already, feel free to contact us through the website.
Your donations will make a valuable contribution to our work in the southern West Bank. Karama has several initiatives ongoing so having the freedom to put the money towards where it is most needed is very helpful. Some of our current priorities are listed on the page (a bit more up). Yes of course! Karama publishes 4 times a year updates on Global Giving that is shared with all our donors through the website. You can also follow us on social media where we intend to share ongoing updates. Possibly in the future we will restart our email list, but for now these two platforms are our main communication channels.
You can, if you prefer so. But direct bank transfers to Palestinian bank account can be expensive and can take long to arrive. To avoid the bank fees and uncertainties, we use GlobalGiving for smaller donations. In case you intend to donate a larger amount and to avoid the Global Giving fee (10-15% charge for Global Giving) you can always contact us directly for other options. Note that we only have a Palestinian bank account so you should check if your own bank allows you to transfer directly.
