The Karama Wall Project
[About][Game][Donate]

For several years now the Israeli state has been building a wall which separates the West Bank from Israel - and it is still growing each day. Together with it, frustration and helplessness are growing; friends and families are separated, an already crippling economy is being turned down.

Yet Karama has decided to lean up against this fatal development. While the wall separates people from one another, isolating them, Karama wants to establish a center which serves to connect people and to create new spaces for recreation. To achieve this goal, Karama is depending on your support!

The house in which the daily activities of Karama take place measures 120 square metres and is only rented: Each month the rental costs consume a large part of our funds - almost 2000 Euro annually. Karama would therefore like to buy the house and to extend it - or to purchase another, bigger house within the Deheishe camp. Already there is hardly enough room to realize the diverse activities for the children, adolescents and women as planned - once the library will have been set up and the computer pool extended, the center will burst at all seems. We are thus urgently in need of a bigger house!

For this reason Karama is now looking for donors who support our project - for greater financial independance and a plus of freedom for the children and adolescents of the center!

In order to organize the donating process in a transparent manner, making it easy for the donors to keep track of the way their money goes, Karama has come up with an idea: A donating action according to the motto "50 for 500"!

And this is how it works.
