Women make up the backbone of the families in the Arabic society - their influence on the male partner should not be underestimated - and are responsible for the education of the children. Yet women are suffering from social ignorance, separation from the society and they do not hold positions of emminence in the community. The situation is further complicated due to the Israeli occupation and the ensuing economic marginalization of the Palestinian society.
Karama is working to provide alternatives to this situation by training, educating and supporting women. In order to make the women part of our society, Karama offers educational programs about their role. We want to raise women's awareness of social and political issues on one hand and to support and train women in special programmes on the other.
Any woman is welcome to join our activities, which are all free!
