Karama needs your help!

Our only source of funding is from members of the public who believe there is a better future for Palestinian women and children. A donation to Karama, whether large or small, can help us realise that future. Thank you for your generosity!

Amounts are in euros (€).
Please note there is currently a $500 (€350) limit on donations. Visit our donations page for more information.

Karama Profiles

Each week we'll be presenting two Karama profiles - one of our members and one of our volunteers. This week we have:

Ahmed Yusuf

Ahmed has been with Karama since its founding seven years ago. He was born in Jerusalem but lives in Deheishe - to visit Jerusalem he must first obtain a permit from the Israeli authorities, and these are rarely issued. Ahmed is 16 and plans to go to university to study Computer Engineering. He learnt most of his English at Karama, an organization which he feels has not only taught him more responsibility but has enabled him to improve his Dabka, a traditional Palestinian dance.

Deniz Sentek

Charlie Deniz joins us from Turkey. She is 21 and studying Politics at the Roosevelt Academy in the Netherlands. Deniz arrived two and a half weeks ago and plans to stay at Karama for another week. As well as giving art and oregami classes, Deniz has been translating our website into Turkish, making Karama accesible to even more people around the globe. She said: "I'm glad that as well as interacting with the children on a personal level, I was also able to contribute to Karama on a wider scale."
