Ramadan Kareem

After the half of Ramadan is over there are only approximately 12 days left - meaning, that there will be lots of things going on at Karama again. Ramadan does not only affect your personal life style, but also the whole activities of school and especially for us, in Karama. Life is slowing down, and the concentration lies on the family and food preparation. When Ramadan is finished, we will have a fixed schedule again according to the school´s timetable for the chldren

Ahlan Women!

After a hard financial gap, where we have not been able to give lessons to women, we welcome 30 to 40 of them again in the end of September. Giving courses in English or Cooking, discussing important human or women rights topics and daily problems of the family life. Especially the last one is highly seen by the women, as they are all busy with household, children, work and family life in general. Consequently, talking about their personal issues is always limited. At Karama we will support and encourage them to create a circle for help and friends.

Break for the Volunteers

6 of our volunteers are going to Ramallah, seeing the capital and political center of Palestine next week. They will be able to visit Yasser Arafats grave and meet high positioners of the Palestinian Authority. We are excited what they will have to report!
