The Karama's general library is opened, as a result of the success of Karama's Educational Project which was generously funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation.

In 2006, Karama has opened its general library, which came as a result of the big efforts that Karama does, to create a central cultural opinion, which helps the students and pupil in many ways:

  1. educating women in health, education and in their rights and duties.
  2. developing the children's knowledge and skills in all the cultural ways and sides.
  3. filling the children's time in reading the  interesting international stories.
  4. helping the universities student with writing researches by finding the  sources and authorities.
  5. to buildup a stronger relationship between the readers and their society and humanity, by getting knowledge on religion and habits which relates to the Palestinian society.

All of that is done by Karama's volunteer Fayez al-Khomour and Karama's (part time teacher) Rabab Marwan. Fayez and Rabab work in the library in different shifts, and they also do the activities which relates to the library and especially the cultural competitions between the children.
This is only the beginning and with only one thousand books we already get one hundred beneficiaries every week. So you can imagine the use from this library in the future when the number of  the books increases.
