Karama Belgiumkarama belgium log

An active group of previous volunteers decided its time to spread awareness in their own community in Belgium!

Several times they have taken a group for a packed trip to Palestine - to learn and experience the hardships that are going on there. Other opportunities are used and created as well to get more people active in Belgium for Palestine and we invite you to get into contact with us if you would like to get to know more!

On this page you will find updates about Karama Belgium's current activities.

News October 2013karama stand festival belgium

This summer, Karama Belgium has been very active in presenting the new organization to our compatriots. At several world festivals in Antwerp and at the Belgian coast, we were present with a stand.

We prepared leaflets and talked about our experiences in Palestine, to raise awareness about the Palestinian struggle, about the activities of Karama Palestine and about our own commitment in Belgium.

These were great opportunities to spread the word about us! Thanks so much to all our volunteers who put their heart and soul into this!

Also we were very happy to welcome Yasser in the country. We seized the opportunity of having him around, to organize two events about Palestine. With a lot of passion, he shared his experiences as a Palestinian refugee with our friends, families and other Karama supporters. Thanks a lot Yasser, for your positive energy and for sharing with us!

Recently, autumn arrived in Belgium. To start the new season, we gathered together in Antwerp with mint tea and olives to watch ‘The Color of Olives’. With this docufilm, we wanted to share the life experiences of a Palestinian family in Masha, living isolated because of the apartheidwall built around their home.
