This Coming Month

Computer Based Language Classes

Finally, our computers are set up for local children to learn English, Spanish and French at their own pace and when they want. Not intended to replace the traditional classes we have long offered, these computer-based modules allow kids to work on their own when they want and on the specific areas they want. It's been a long road to get these programs located and working, but now it's time to introduce the local children to them. Already, most of our older children have taken to them voraciously. It shouldn't be hard to get the younger kids interested in these fun programs that let them be in charge, for once, of their own education.

Remedial Classes Program

As introduced in this edition's homepage, Karama is in the midst of a ambitious program for 432 at-risk students from around Bethlehem and Hebron. While this program has already gone on for a month and will continue till May, this coming month will see the program's first field trip for the students. Designed to be educational and entertaining, March will see the first of 3 such trips to take our students away from at least some of the stress for a day. The exact details of this first trip are still being finalized, and we're excited for all the participants.
