Karama Profiles

Karama Member

Mahmoud Swaitti has worked with Karama for over four years. He has lived in the Deheishe Camp all his 17 years and attends high school in Bethlehem. During his tenure at Karama, Mahmoud has taught Debka, English, and maintained the computer systems. He's already organized a performing Debka troupe, and hopes to turn them into a locally renown performance group.

Karama Volunteer

anna

Anna Maria Kaim comes to us from Hamm, Germany and has been with Karama for 6 weeks. In that time, this precocious twenty-one year old has taught French, organized and run many of out activities at the UNRWA Girls School and initiated many of her own youth art projects her in Karama. She's preparing to return to her home and studies in Arabistic Caucausiology (far and away the most precise major we've had here) at Friedrich Schiller Universitat in Jena.
