Next week

Bye bye Ramadan!

We say good bye to Ramadan with a big feast, called "Eaid" in arabic, for the year 2009, on sunday or monday - nobody knows before. The good thing for Karama is that we will have a fixed timetable again according to the childrens schedule of the school. More activities, more children, more women! We are all looking forward to this new period!

The UN Girls School and Karama

Karama has a new project running: Some of our female volunteers start to work in the UN girls school, making activities like singing, giving sport lessons, games, english discussions and so on. It will be a good experience to work with the school, especially because we can divide the big classes, so there do not have to be 45 kids in one.

Hopefully it will be a lot of fun for both sides!

Mosaic Ole!

After Ramadan we start to paint the walls of our backyard. The whole Karama group decided to paint in big arabic letters "Karama" and around it there will be all the hands and the names of the Karama members! Since we moved in the new house in Deheishe we had to look at grey walls and wanted to change it - now, where we are having all the material together and decided for a motive, we are finally able to do it!
