This WeekFind out what's been going on at Karama during the last week. New arrivals, new projects, new classes, it's all here!Classes for Women After a difficult financial period which saw us forced to cut back some of our regular activities, we are very pleased to have been able to re-introduce our women's programs. We look forward to returning our classes to full strength as soon possible. The Karama Building Largely thanks to the generosity of a single donor, we have managed to stave off disaster for Karama and have retained the use of the our building. However, there is still a huge amount of fundraising that needs to be done to secure the building for the future and we will be working hard to reach as many people as possible to further this goal. Fundraising In response to a recent period of financial difficulty, and as part of Karama's wider mission to help the women and children of Deheishe, we have begun some new fundraising initiatives. Karama now has a a page on Facebook Causes - why not sign up and invite your friends to join? Please also see the 'Karama Website' entry in the Next Week section for news on our donation page. Volunteers This week we've said goodbye to both Spencer (from Canada) and Deniz (from Turkey). They were both great assets to Karama, focusing on PE and art classes respectively. In their place we have welcomed Laura, Mary and Leena, all from the USA, and Sonja from Germany. We look forward to their stay in Deheishe and a productive time at Karama.
